Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2026
PDFisPDF is built around one principle: your documents are your business, not ours. Everything the tools do happens locally in your browser. This policy explains exactly what that means and covers the few cases where any network connection is involved at all.
Your files never leave your device
Every PDF operation — merging, splitting, compressing, signing, redacting, converting and all the rest — runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your files are never uploaded to our servers or anyone else's. We could not read your documents even if we wanted to, because they never reach us.
No tracking, no analytics, no ads
We do not use analytics services, advertising networks, tracking pixels or fingerprinting of any kind. We do not set cookies and do not use browser local storage to identify you. We do not know who you are, which tools you use, or how often you visit.
Hosting
The site is served as static files by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare may keep standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, requested URL, user agent) to operate and protect its network. These logs are governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy; we do not receive or analyse them.
P2P Share
The P2P Share tool transfers files directly between two browsers. To set up that connection it loads the PeerJS library from the unpkg content delivery network and uses the public PeerJS signaling service to exchange connection details (such as session IDs and network addresses). The contents of your files are sent over an encrypted, direct peer-to-peer connection and never pass through the signaling server.
Optional third-party API keys
A few tools can optionally connect to a third-party service with an API key that you provide (for example, machine translation). Your key is held in memory only for the current session, is never stored, and is sent only to the provider you chose — never to us. Content you submit through such a connection is governed by that provider's privacy policy.
Children
PDFisPDF does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the site handles data, we will update this page and its "last updated" date before the change takes effect. A change that weakened the local-only processing promise would be clearly announced on the homepage.
